ATLANTA – The Atlanta Braves are proud to host the annual weekend series between Historically Black College and University (HBCU) baseball programs, while honoring Braves Hall of Famers and HBCU graduates in the Ralph Garr-Bill Lucas HBCU Baseball Classic.

The 2024 weekend series will take place Friday, March 1 through Saturday, March 2 at Coolray Field, home of the Braves’ Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers.

The two-game series will feature Grambling State University and Florida A&M University, the alma maters of Braves Hall of Famers, Ralph Garr and Bill Lucas.

Designed to highlight baseball programs at historically black colleges and universities in the Southeast, the showcase is an extension of the Atlanta Braves’ efforts to foster the next generation of diverse baseball players. The classic serves as an opportunity to expose student-athletes, support staff, and coaches to a Major League setting.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the growth of Black Baseball across the Southeast.

Enjoy the HBCU Classic at Coolray Field AND an Atlanta Braves home game at Truist Park with the purchase of this specialty ticket bundle. With the bundle, you can choose an HBCU Classic ticket to the Friday, March 1 or Saturday, March 2 game AND an Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets General Admission ticket for your choice of a game between Monday, April 8 to Thursday, April 11. Tickets for the HBCU Classic are General Admission and good for seating in the Lower Level on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets for the Braves game are General Admission and first come, first serve seating within Sections 439-444.
