Dickey Broadcasting Company, Atlanta’s premiere News and Sports Media Company, is looking for an experienced Digital sales professional to join our championship team. Our Digital Department is poised for explosive growth with a continually expanding line-up of audio, video, and social media content across the Sports and Conservative News Talk Lifestyles.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales performance and exceeding revenue targets across all digital content verticals. They will work closely with clients and agencies and ensure DBC Digital Assets are a ‘must-buy’ for advertisers to reach and engage affluent and active audiences. Coming to our state-of-the-art studios in The Battery daily is a must, as is traveling OFTEN to see prospects, leads, and clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sell an assortment of digital content assets including; Pre-roll Audio, Podcasts, CTV/OTT Video, Email and Loyalty Club Campaigns, Social Media Campaigns, Banner Ads, Website/App Takeovers, and Content Marketing Campaigns.
  • Achieve revenue and growth targets. Identify and execute strategies which result in exceeding said targets.
  • Identify and develop NEW business relationships with an emphasis on the above stated assets.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies that showcase the unique strengths and value of the station’s digital assets as well as maximize overall revenues for Dickey Broadcasting Company.
  • Foster open communication channels to ensure the value proposition of the station’s digital assets is properly communicated to potential revenue sources.
  • Develop and manage key client / advertiser relationships and evangelize the full suite of content and ad product offerings.
  • Remain current with competitors and the overall marketplace
  • Understand client’s needs, prepare sales plans, proposals and presentations.
  • Identify new business; develop new relationships with key marketing/media decision makers.
  • Identify go to market strategies for sponsorships
  • Identify and capture strategic high-value opportunities
  • Create differentiation in market to drive leadership
  • Deliver marketers a superior advertising experience that utilizes insights to drive business outcomes
  • Manage the sales process from proposal through post-analysis and renewal

Content Coordinator

Dickey Broadcasting Company Content Coordinator is responsible for creating and executing detailed social media plans, marketing initiatives, and one-of-a-kind content to increase brand awareness and engagement across digital channels. This position requires a social media aficionado, content writer, video editor, and graphic designer with a passion for and expertise in Atlanta sports and beyond. The ideal candidate should be data-driven, passionate about sports, and have an eye for creating engaging content. The Content Coordinator will work closely with the DBC digital team, sales team, as well as all radio personalities to ensure digital success. The Content Coordinator reports directly to the DBC’s Director of Digital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media Strategy & Assistance:

  • Help create and implement social media strategies that are in line with your brand goal
  • Create engaging, brand-aligned content across all social media channels
  • Plan and schedule your social media calendars so you can post regularly and on time

Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with your brand teams to help plan content calendars and schedule content distribution across different channels
  • Create high-quality visuals, video, and copy that speaks to your target audience
  • Editing video, graphics, and podcasting

Community Engagement:

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Utilize social media analytics tools (Hootsuite) to track KPIs and analyze social media insights to better understand performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for optimization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience in in social media management, preferably in the sports industry
  • Passion and deep understanding for Atlanta sports
  • Video editing skills
  • Graphic design skills
  • Experience in Adobe Create Suites (Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, Premier Pro, Audition)
  • Experience in Hoostsuite or other social media management tools
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail

Promotional Staff Member

Dickey Broadcasting Company is looking for Promotional Staff that reports directly to the Promotions & Events Manager and represents the radio stations as a Brand Ambassador at events and on social media, as well as assisting the promotions team in the office by preparing for events, fulfilling contest, and prizing and utilizing other skills to create content across departments

This role is an entry-level, part-time position, with the opportunity to potentially shadow current DBC employees and assist in videography, graphic design, social media, marketing, promotions, event planning, sales, and programming.

Exceptional communication skills and an energetic personality are a requirement. This role will require working nights, weekends, and holidays regularly, as well as the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:
• Engage with the public at events ranging from client locations to stadiums, golf tournaments and more which may require high levels of energy for several hours
• Present themselves professionally on-site at events, in the office and on social media
• Represent each radio station in the cluster through knowledge of, and passion for, the brands
• Set up and break down of station sound and promotional equipment (tents, banners, speakers, audio PA system) at station events
• Create and post engaging content, photos, and video on station social media
• Assist with organization and maintenance of station vehicles and promotional equipment
• Compose accurate and detailed event recaps for management
• Effectively communicate with listeners via email, phone, and in-person
• Assist in various departments throughout CMG Athens Radio as needed, including but not limited to digital content, programming, sales, and engineering

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older

Summer Broadcasting Internships

Dickey Broadcasting Company is currently seeking summer interns for our Atlanta, Georgia radio stations. Dickey Broadcasting offers internships opportunities at our radio stations in various departments as an opportunity for students to apply classroom theory to practical work experience. Our internship program allows students to experience firsthand the reality of working in the radio broadcasting industry. Interns can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills, and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends.

Qualifications:

All interns must be high school seniors or college students and may receive college credits for the internships. These are volunteer positions and persons filling these positions will not receive financial compensation. Station department heads oversee the internships to evaluate the interns and ensure they are receiving the proper education/training. Students are expected to obtain and complete any forms necessary to receive credit for the internship experience. Dickey Broadcasting will assist students with the completion of such forms and provide information concerning duties and responsibilities.

Opportunities:

Programming Department: The skills and experience you will gain include, but are not limited to: Assisting on-air personalities during air-shifts, learning broadcasting console operation, helping to research and create on-air content, answering phone lines, recording commercial spots and program material, organizing broadcast elements, learning how to cut/edit/archive audio, learning how to update various Twitter, Facebook, other social media, and website pages, assisting with the collection of show preparation materials, and shadowing other departments (Promotions, Production, and Sales) as desired.

Promotion/Events: Assist with the planning, coordination and executing of major station events, in addition to Atlanta Braves Truist Park – Battery Atlanta activations, station sponsored street stops, golf tournaments and live broadcast remotes. Assist with setting up station’s area, hanging banners, organize giveaways/register-to-wins and interact with listeners. Learn the strategies of a major market radio station as well as various office duties such as data entry and giveaway organization.

Digital/Social Media: Assist with all aspects of the digital department including but not limited to Digital Strategies for video, both live and VOD, podcasting, video shooting and editing, podcast recording and editing, graphic design, assisting the Digital Director with social media strategy and posting. Duties also include covering promotional event with video content creation and sales focused recap content.

Sales Department: Assist Sales Managers, AE’s and sales support staff with multiple duties including participating in sales training meetings, learning all steps of the sales process, prospecting, contacting, create sales decks through PowerPoint and other presentation software, participate in external sales calls with AEs and how to cultivate long term relationships. Sales Managers oversee the internships to evaluate the interns and ensure they are receiving proper sales education/training.
