Falcons GM Terry Fontenau Speaks on Atlanta’s Quarterback Options Heading Into the 2024 NFL Draft

GOOD PEOPLE WORKING ON THE QB SITUATION:
It’s a really good group, it’s a strong draft overall, the quarterback position is strong and you have some different types to guys that do a different ways, but it’s a really good group, so it’s very, very exciting. We’re going to be talking to those guys actually over the next couple of days.

MOVING UP IN THE DRAFT:
Like I said, we’re keeping all the options open. We could trade up. We could trade back. We could stay at 8 and so when those reports come out…and I actually don’t…I don’t see all those reports, when they come out, so you never know where they’re coming from, or but you’ve been doing this a long time delay and you know that a lot of those things aren’t accurate. They’re creating narratives, but look, we’re wide open. We can move up, we can move back. We can stay right at eight.

IT’S A GOOD QB CLASS:
We’re still working through it, and like we said, we’re going to keep all options open, right? Free agency trade. Draft working through all those things simultaneous and we have a lot of really smart people in the building from Rahim, Zach, TJ, Yates, Ken Zampese, DJ, we have a lot of really, really good people and we’re spending a lot of time with them and working through that so we’re right in the middle of that process right now.

ATLANTA – Falcons General Manager Terry Fontenau comments on the progress the Atlanta Falcons are making as they address their quarterback situation. Will they move up in the draft? Will they trade for a QB? Maybe it’s time to raid free agency and see if there’s a gunslinger that can carry the team a few years.

Which way will the Falcons ultimately go? Hit “PLAY” and find out!
