Braves and Angels Complete Four-Player Trade

Atlanta acquires INF David Fletcher, C Max Stassi

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Braves today acquired INF David Fletcher and C Max Stassi from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for minor league players INF Evan White and LHP Tyler Thomas. Fletcher, 29, has appeared at five different positions over the course of his six-season MLB career, each with the Angels. In 534 career games, the Orange, Calif. native has slashed .277/.323/.359 (558-for2,018) with 250 runs scored. He batted a career-high .319 (66-for-207) in the 2020 season, a campaign wherein he finished 17th in American League MVP voting.

Stassi, 32, has appeared in 403 major-league games and slashed .212/.295/.361 (241-for-1,137).
During his last MLB season, 2022, he played 102 games and threw out 12-of-56 base-stealers (21%).
White, 27, was acquired on December 3 in a trade with the Seattle Mariners. He played 84 games
at the major-league level from 2020-’21, batting .165/.235/.308 (46-for-279) with 10 home runs, 35 RBI
and 24 walks.

Thomas, 27, was selected by Atlanta in the first round of the minor-league phase of the Rule 5
Draft on December 6.
