Braves Announce Spring Training Non-Roster Invitees

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Braves today announced the club invited 26 non-roster players to major league spring training this season. The team extended invites to 11 pitchers, four catchers, six infielders and five outfielders and will open camp with 66 players.

The club invited nine players that currently rank among the team’s top 30 prospects, according to MLB.com, including top overall prospect, LHP Jared Shuster. Also included are fellow top 10 prospects RHP Victor Vodnik (No. 7) and INF Cal Conley (No. 9). 

Twelve of the invitees have previous major league experience, four of which include appearances with Atlanta. Pitchers Jesse Chavez and Danny Young played with the Braves last season, as did INF Ehire Adrianza, while INF Adeiny Hechavarría spent time with the club in 2019 and 2020.

Along with the 40 players on Atlanta’s major-league roster, the Braves are set to open camp with 66 total players.
