Shaq’s Fun House and SunTrust Confidence Classic Highlight Events at The Battery Atlanta During Super Bowl Weekend

ATLANTA (January 25, 2019) – The Battery Atlanta will host several big events during Super Bowl Weekend. From Shaq’s Fun House to the SunTrust Confidence Classic Fan Fest and Celebrity Flag Football Game, The Battery Atlanta is a destination for locals as well as out of town guests for the Big Game. Parking is free for the first four hours in the Red, Green and Purple Decks.

Thursday, January 31

• NFL Hall of Famer Andre Reed will be signing autographs at The onUp Experience from 6:30-7:30 p.m. as part of the SunTrust Confidence Classic.

Friday, February 1

• As part of the SunTrust Confidence Classic, the Falcons Cheerleaders will be taking over The onUp Experience starting at 5:30 p.m. Freddie the Falcon will join in the festivities at 6 p.m. and Falcons Running Back Devonta Freeman will be signing autographs from 6-7 p.m.
• Shaq’s Fun House will be at LIVE! at The Battery Atlanta. Part music festival, part carnival and part circus, Shaq’s Fun House blends super star artists with a unique over the top interactive carnival experience. • Barstool Sports will be hosting a private event at the Coca-Cola Roxy.

Saturday, February 2

• The SunTrust Confidence Classic FREE Fan Fest will take place from 11 a.m. – 5p.m. Visitors will be able to participate in the following FREE activities throughout the weekend:
  • The Battery Battle Gameshow of Football Trivia on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage will be held at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Winners of each show will win a SunTrust Confidence Classic Prize Pack.
  • Football Skills Competition on the Plaza Green will feature three stations were guests can test their skills at quarterback, receiver and kicker. Participants who successfully complete all three competitions will receive a SunTrust Confidence Classic T-shirt at The onUp Experience (while supplies last).
  • The Battery Atlanta Spirit Squad will perform on the Splash Pad at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
• The Celebrity Flag Football Challenge Presented by SunTrust will kick-off at 1 p.m. at SunTrust Park. The ticketed event is part of the SunTrust Confidence Classic and will feature 30 athletes and celebrities on two teams. Names already announced in the flag football game include NFL Alums Michael Vick and Doug Flutie, Migos Members Quavo and Offset, Chargers Running Back Melvin Gordon, Falcons Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, Falcons Cornerback Brian Poole, Falcons and Braves Alum Brian Jordan, Lions Cornerback Darius Slay, Carolina Panthers Tight End Chris Manhertz, reigning UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley, Tae Bo creator and fitness guru Billy Blanks, and NFL Defensive End Bryan Braman.
