A Letter To Rude About Shanahan

Dear Rude,

First of all, I don’t believe Shannahan’s ego is the problem.

This is a 2016 photo of Kyle Shanahan of the Atlanta Falcons NFL football team. This image reflects the Atlanta Falcons active roster as of Monday, June 13, 2016 when this image was taken. (AP Photo)

I DO think that he had a game plan in mind and couldn’t compartmentalize the different parts of the game.

He DID need to change his philosophy.

He played the last five minutes like he played the first five minutes.

Now you’re going on about him answering the question at his media conference.

Let it go!!!

You guys want a pound of flesh.

And finally…

For Christ sake, you really need to get past it.

I’ve never seen so many grown men cry so much.

It’s a game.  Nobody died.

Dear Rudy C,

I have to believe that the San Francisco media will indeed ask him all about that baffling sequence of plays that contributed to the Falcons meltdown. I thought we would be “past it” by Tuesday. Not so, long suffering Falcons fans are still grieving. I tried to bring up the “nobody died” concept this morning and I was met with “Rude cares more about celebrities dying than the Falcons losing.” When those celebrities are David Bowie or John Lennon being shot in the back, then YES guilty as charged. They’ll never be back. The Falcons will be back in a few short months to rip out your heart once again…
