On Father’s Day, 7 years ago this weekend, I woke up with a sore throat and a lump in my neck (swollen gland)…and the rollercoaster ride began! As many of you know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 head and neck cancer. Well, here I am today along with many other cancer warriors to say THANKS! Thanks for caring! Especially Darcy and my kids! I also want to thank one of my MANY doctors involved in my treatment, Dr. Allan C Bleich M.D., who retired after a 47 year medical career to enjoy his wife, children and grandchildren. Doc, with all this free-time now, maybe we can ride the Silver Comet trail together again? Enjoy your family! Over the next few weeks, it’s dinner and dancing with my ENT Dr Michael Koriwchak to celebrate our meeting (and his diagnosis) 7 years ago! I also have to thank Dr Thomas Seay at Atlanta Cancer Care and all the incredible folks there (Cara Abramson especially) who helped me get through it. Dr Seay R.I.P. I couldnt have done it with out you!

BTW, when I asked the lovely lady (tech) if I could take this picture, she said, “well let me clean up the place first…” …and she did a “10 second tidy.” lol
