WHAT: As part of their initiative to grow the game of baseball, the Atlanta Braves will host a one-day Coaches Clinic, presented by Nike, on Saturday, January 8. Led by former Major League Baseball players, including Braves alumni Marquis Grissom, Johnny Estrada and Marvin Freeman, the clinic is designed to promote proper teaching and guidance to high school and youth coaches to help develop the next generation of baseball players.
Discussion topics and skill development demonstrations will cover hitting, fielding, pitching, catching and base running. In addition, an arm care, strength training, and injury prevention session will be conducted by Dr. Scurfield from the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
