FALCONS HAVE A SHOT AT THE SUPER BOWL

What a thrill it was to see our Falcons beating up on the Seahawks in NFL Playoff action. And now, we’ve got the Packers and Aaron Rodgers showing up, with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line! This is nothing short of awesome. So unexpected, but it’s been fun being wrong on this Falcons team.

Q’s defense played tough against the Seahawks. After that opening drive, the Falcons basically shut them down. It’s was great to see the D-Line whip that below average Seattle O-Line. Babs, big Grady and Brooks Reed were flying around up front. Jones, Campbell & Neal—the 3 Space-Tacklers— were leading the way on the 2nd level. Out on the edge, Alford, Poole & Collins were ballin’! Beasley was mixing it up, even though they schemed to limit his success.

It looks to me like the improvement on defense has given this team a legit shot to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Are they going to shut down Rodgers and the Packers? Probably not, but they are capable of getting that big stop or forcing a huge turnover now! So, bring on Rodgers.

The Packers are a banged up team right now. This just in: that’s not good against the Falcons high-flying offense. The Green Bay secondary barely has enough guys to line up this week. Safety Morgan Burnett has a thigh issue (can’t run, you can’t be effective). Cornerbacks Gunter, Randall & Hawkins are all target worthy.

Can’t wait to see Matt Ryan & Julio Jones doing some major damage against these guys! Sure hope Julio’s toe/foot issue will allow him to be a force Sunday. There should be multiple opportunities to make big plays down the field. The time is obviously now, for these two guys to lead the Falcons to the Super Bowl. Time to end all that talk about the trade to get Julio being bad and how Matt struggles come playoff time. I’m expecting Matt & Julio to carve these guys up.

Let me end this by complimenting Kyle Shanahan. Kyle has done an outstanding job game-planning and play-calling. One of the big reasons the Falcons are in this spot is because Kyle and Matt have worked so effectively this season. It’s been great to see. Go get two more wins for us, guys!
