USING TWITTER FOR GOOD

@

JAY BILAS HAS OVER HALF A MILLION TWITTER FOLLOWERS. HE FOLLOWS NO ONE.

THIS WEEK, HE BEGAN A SERIES OF TWEETS THAT SINGLE HANDEDLY TOOK DOWN THE NCAA . WELL, SORT OF......

JAY MADE US ALL AWARE THAT IF YOU GO TO THE NCAA'S WEBSITE, AND SEARCH FOR A JOHNNY MANZIEL JERSEY, IT COMES UP, FOR SALE.

oR SHOULD I SAY, "CAME" UP FOR SALE.

AS OF 3:00 ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON, PRESIDENT MARK EMMERT CAME FORWARD AND SAID THAT THE NCAA WOULD NO LONGER BE IN THE BUSINESS OF JERSEY SALES OR TEAM PROMOTION. HE ADDED HE THOUGHT SOME WOULD THINK THE THEY WERE ACTING LIKE HYPOCRITES.

YA THINK?

IT TOOK JAY BILAS' TWEETS AND LESS THAN 24 HOURS FOR THAT SMALL CHANGE.

WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR JADEVEON CLOWNEY TO GET SAY 20% OF THAT $68.00 JERSEY ON SALE IN THE BOOK STORE AT SOUTH CAROLINA? OR HOW ABOUT AARON MURRAY, TO GET $10 FROM EVERY JERSEY SOLD AT SPORTS AUTHORITY.

IT'S ALL SHADY, AND IT'S GOING TO TAKE A KID,.... EXCUSE ME, A REBELLIOUS KID LIKE JOHNNY FOOTBALL TO FORCE THE RULE CHANGE.

IT'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL, A BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS, AND THE NON PROFIT NCAA IS GOING TO HAVE TO CHANGE WITH THE TIMES, OR GET LEFT BEHIND.

DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE AUTOGRAPH HOUNDS.
