You do care!
The numbers are in, and while most of you said " I don't care about the Olympic Opening Ceremony", you sure did watch! A record setting 40.7 million people watched NBC's coverage of the event on Friday night. That crazy Nielsen family said that London's opener was the most watched of any summer or winter olympics {numbers not given for the not so popular spring and fall olympics}.
Before Friday, the most watched opener was from 1996, Yep the Atlanta OLympics .
And check this out, an estimated 5 million comments about the ceremony were made on social media. By the way, who has to count that? and how about it was more "interesting" to women.... 58% of the comments were from the ladies!
Mr. Bean was the win for me! A true Gold Medal Moment when he played the piano in chariots of fire. Made me belly laugh.
David Beckham had his shirt on in the boat, FAIL!
And that wild and crazy queen made us all laugh. Good for you for not taking yourself so seriously. More of us should take note.
Ok, gotta go, Ryan Lochte is about to jump in the pool, and that my friends, is worth watching.
USA! USA!
