Why is Chipper REtiring?  

I sat and watched our forty year old first baseman pinch hit in the Braves/Nats game on saturday afternoon, after that big comeback on Friday night.  Chipper pinch hit, one pitch, one homerun.  He didn't break a sweat!

Why can't the braves sign him to a one year deal, that will have him coming off the bench! Look at his number? As of today, he's batting 317, with 40 RBI! AT Forty! hello?

He's played in 58 games this year, so don't say that he might not be as effective not playing everyday. He's not playing now, every day!

One more year! Let's start the campaign! Get the tshirts printed! Should they read "one more year' or "forty and fabulous".
