a picture is worth a thousand words (or less)

a picture is worth a thousand words. How many times have you heard somebody say "It wasn't like that when I was a kid!?," and then they fill in the blank with a good example of why it was better back then. You man like when black and white TV was king? When TV signed off after the national anthem? When you had to get up and physically change the channel on the television if you wanted to watch a different program? When there were no guarantees that the reception would even be worth a darn so you might have to resort to holding "rabbit ears" to even get a picture? I could go on & on and I'm sure you could too, about "how much better it was then." What about Sports? Was it better back then too? This picture reminded me of a time when "taunting" was cool. Even in football, when you laid a guy out, it was OK to add insult to injury by letting your opponent know that YOU were the one who administered the pain the he was now feeling. You might even throw in some colorful language too as he was being escorted off the field just to accentuate your point. Have the games gotten too soft. Is is better now or then?
