The Greatest ever on the red dirt?

Jun 25, 2012 -- 3:40pm

Congrats to Rafa Nadal, who defeated Novak Djojovic and captured an unprecedented 7thFrench championship. Nadal broke the record he shared with the great Bjorn Borg. With the win Rafa captured his 11thmajor, moving him into a tie for 3rdplace all time with aforementioned Borg. Most tennis historians view Borg as the greatest clay court player of all time, however Nadal is dominating the sport on the red dirt unlike anyone we’ve ever seen. He’s won 7 of the last 8 At Roland Garrros, his record an astonishing 52-1. His only blemish was to Robin Soderling 3 years ago when he was hurt, and had to subsequently withdraw from Wimbledon and not defend his title. It is possible that if Nadal stays healthy, at 26 years old he could conceivably finish his storied career with 10 French Open titles. Absolutely Mindboggling !!!!!
