October 30th 1988...That is the last time the Falcons won in Philadelphia. Since then the Falcons have lost two playoff games to the Eagles in Phili, in two different stadiums. Atlanta has been blown out in a few games, played games right to the wire but still the same result....an L.
Just for fun I went back and looked at that Falcons team that won in Philadelphia. Chris Miller was the starting QB that day and threw 3 TD's. John Settle led the Falcons in rushin with 51 yards, while Floyd Dixon had 3 catches for 76 yards in the 27-24 win. On the defensive side the Falcons got sacks from Rick Bryan, Marcus Cotton and Mike Gann. Plus got int's from Bret Clark and TIm Gordon.
The Falcons came into the game at 1-7 and would finish the 1988 season 5-11.
Hopefully the 2012 version of the Falcons can finally break thru and win in the city with a cracked bell.
