Movies opening this weekend
Broken City Ex-cop Billy (Mark Wahlberg) accepts a gig helping the mayor (Russell Crowe) track his amorous wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones). It's not a shock when the situation turns explosive. Being double-crossed by the mayor might freak out the average guy, but Billy's steely street smarts won't bow to a white-collar bully. Rated R.
The Last Stand The Governator pumps up his acting resume with this tale of a cartel honcho who busts out of federal custody and makes a run for the border. An agent (Forest Whitaker) taps a small town's do-the-right-thing sheriff (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to put the squeeze on the druggie. Let's see how much firepower one town can unleash. Rated R.
Mama Two girls snatched by their father go feral after five years in the woods. Once found, they claim "Mama" cared for them. They wash up and go live with their uncle and his girlfriend. The problem? No one cleared the move with "Mama." From executive producer Guillermo del Toro. Rated PG-13.
