Braves Back on Track?

May 29, 2012 -- 10:59pm

Dan Uggla and Craig Kimbrel put an end to the skid. It took a big 3-run shot and our closer throwing it up there at 99 to get it done, but the 8-game losing streak is officially over. I tip my cap to those guys.

We got a taste of going first to worst this time around. And that's no fun at all, uh? Got to get this thing turned around quick.

Changes are on the way. Medlen is down at AAA stretching his arm out and will return soon as a starter. Jurrjens is off an impressive start, where his fastball hit 93 and sat at 91. Might be time to bring him back up for a "second chance." Who are the odd guys out? Looks to me like Minor and Delgado. Although, I'd have Delgado off to the bullpen.

Freeman should get cranked back up, now that his goggles have arrived (8 a.m. Wednesday). McCann is back in there now. Only guy out is Chipper.

Speaking of Chipper being out of the's a wake-up call looking ahead to next season. How will we survive? Frank Wren is trying to get that figured out. Do the Braves move Prado to 3rd and sign a LF with some pop? Or do they keep Martin in left and sign a 3B? This is a critical decision, obviously. Wonder what the plan is?
