It was a life-changing victory for Bubba Watson. He admitted that his dreams were never this big. Winning the Masters, on Easter Sunday! It just doesn't get any better than this.
How did it happen? Bubba Golf, baby! He bombed that pink driver. Carved his iron shots. Cut it. Put a draw on it. And rolled the rock, on those lightning fast Augusta National greens. That performance was impressive. Bubba put together a 4-under 68, in the final round of the Masters.
Bubba played a solid front side, before he made his move on the back 9. He birdied 13, 14, 15 and 16. Four in a row! The crowd was loving it. The Bulldog Nation jumped on board for the ride. This was special, if he could just finish off Oosthuizen.
And how did that happen? Bubba busted out the miracle shot to win it. Buried in the nest of Georgia pines, along the right side of the world-famous Par 4 10th hole, Bubba did what Bubba does best...put a hook swing, on a gap wedge, from 155 yards. Perfection! What a great memory. A shot that he'll always treasure.
Loved the emotion too. Mom was there to embrace him. Tour players hung around to help him celebrate the moment...Ricky Fowler, Aaron Baddeley, and Ben Crane were there to celebrate. Don't see that much, uh?
Bubba won the Masters. It simply doesn't get any better than this.
